Verge New Media: VON07 wrap-up VIDEO

    Nice sum up.

I like the use of focus as shot dissolve.

Wow... this really ties in to a discussion going in at this site today in Atlanta:

Maybe we should be thinking more about "banding together?" Hard to say right now. Lemme get back to you.

But excellent package Jim. Nobody does it better than old media. 'Cept for those in old media crossing into new!

Did you ever know that you're my hero?!

Great wrap-up, Jim. (And not just because I'm in it.) You really summed up the current buzz around the space, which is: we're here to stay, so what do we (the content creators) need to do to ENSURE we can stay, while also helping other companies figure out how they can utilize our skills and services. It's the "okay, web video isn't going anywhere, so let's start figuring out this co-existence thing" part of the life cycle of new media.

That was a great video because I was in it! Ha ha. Wow, I sure lost my voice. Nice dissolve between my walking standup and yours. Loved it...

I'm sure we'll cross paths again. It was great fun spending time with you at VON.

Grayson, Amani and I were just talking about "banding together" this morning. You are rock star in my book SpaceyG and i suspect there'll be collaboration in our future. Steve and Justin, thank you guys for being part of the conversation. The video WAS great becuase you guys were in it, and you helped me and anyone who watches understand why collaboration and participation are vital.

Hey Jim, So I am sitting here at Etech in San Diego - showing a bunch of folks your wrap up on Video on the Net. Nice job. Saved me a bunch of time trying to explain what went on.

Excellent wrap up. Until we cross again, keep rolling.

Great video Jim, very clean and awesome coverage. You wrapped up the whole week. Thanks, now I don't have to post any of my video :)

This was a great video and an amazing recap of the event.

What I think this also shows is how important the role of an editor is to telling the story. As someone who does not enjoy the editing process I was very impressed with this video. Everything flowed, it told a story, it hit home.

And I'm still giggling at Steve Garfield making fun of you. Best part of the whole thing!

HEY! Where are all the females? :P Nice meeting you at VON, hope we cross paths again soon. C.

You know.. you're right. Duly noted Ms McKinnon. I'm sure we'll connect again soon!

Wow. I was considering going to VON. Now that I have seen your video, I really wish I would have. You narrate (I don't know what the better word for that is) so well! Oh my goodness!! I was so captivated by this video, and it wasn't even because I know some of the people. I will have to watch more of yours.

This is awesome - great video! Wow...nicely done and very, very thoughtful (and right, I'm not just saying that because I'm in it!).

Jim, enjoyed watching your wrap up video from VON, it brought back some fond memories from the conference! I agree, SteveG making fun of your conference hall walk through was way funny!

Related to VON, I wrote a recap of some of the most interesting things I heard during the presentations VON2007 - and included a link to your wrap up video... now on my blog about innovation, new media and personal technology:
